Job description

- A Hot Foods Manager is responsible for the daily operations of preparing and serving food and drink to customers. Managers coordinate between various departments such as the kitchen, housewives corner, bakery, butchery and service area. Will further investigate and resolve customers' complaints about food quality or service. They monitor orders in the kitchen and collaborate with the chef to solve any delays in service. Individuals analyze recipes of dishes to determine food, labour, and overhead costs, work out portion size and nutritional content of each plate, and assign prices to menu items. Will further have to co-ordinate services concerning waste removal and pest control. Will further need to schedule staff’s working hours.
What you'll do

- Make sure we cook our hot dishes just right, following recipes and keeping everything safe.
- Work together to plan menus that people will love. Also, get creative and come up with new, exciting dishes
- Keep an eye on our ingredients and dishes, making sure they're up to our high standards and that everything is clean and safe
- Lead our kitchen team, making sure everyone knows what they're doing
- Keep an eye on what ingredients we have and order more when we need them. Also, make sure we're not wasting anything and keeping costs in check
- Use ingredients smartly to save money, and keep an eye on what we spend in the kitchen
- Talk to our customers, handle any concerns they might have, and make sure our food is top-notch
- Keep our kitchen clean and safe. Do regular checks to catch any potential issues
- Make schedules that work well for everyone, and make sure breaks and shifts are sorted
- Keep an eye on our whole team, making sure everyone knows their job and when they're working
- Stick to the recipes precisely and create new ones for any new dishes we're making
- Keep an eye on our ingredient levels and order more from the right suppliers when we're running low
- Count our stock each week so we know what we've got
- Work closely with other teams like procurement and marketing to keep everything running smoothly
- Review how well our kitchen team is doing, give feedback, and recognize good work
