Spa Wellness Expert

An eclectic accommodation collection and Spa in the vibrant neighborhood of Hermanus is looking to recruit a passionate Spa Wellness Expert for their in-house spa to ensure that all necessary hygiene and health standards are maintained, to treat all customers with the utmost care and professionalism, to create an inviting and calm atmosphere.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

**Education**:

- Grade 12 or Equivalent
- Beauty Therapy Diploma from CIDESCO, SAAHSP, and/or ITEC
- Qualification must be a minimum of 3 years

**Experience**:

- 3 year qualification in the Spa/Beauty industry
- Minimum of 3 years industry/working experience
- Comfortable with the responsibility of all duties and procedures within a Spa/Wellness Centre
- Experienced in massage, facials, waxing (incl. intimate waxing), manicure/ pedicure (incl. Gelish), and spa-specific therapies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must be physically able to perform at a high level for a consecutive 60 or 90 minute massage session
- Demonstrate an expert level knowledge of ESP and Opera & provide basic training to other therapists on Opera and ESP
- Working alongside other therapists and/or Wellness manager for career and skill development
- To build guest loyalty by developing a practice in a professional environment
- Ensures that manicure and pedicure equipment is sterilized
- Maintaining UV cabinets
- Par levels on stock to monitored and maintained
- Give expert advice about products carried in Mint Spas
- Be back-up for other therapists if required
- Oversee treatment rooms with regards to products and/or maintenance required and delegate to Spa Wellness Manager
- Cross-promotion and selling of the spa services with the in-house reservations team
