We are seeking an experienced IT Security Expert to join a growing team on a long-term Contract Hybrid in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for protecting the company's IT infrastructure and data from cyber threats. This includes implementing and maintaining security controls, conducting security assessments, and investigating security incidents.

You must have 5+ years of experience in IT Security, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification and NQF Level 7 Qualification in a related IT Field.

**Type: Contract (Up to 3 years) - Hybrid in Johannesburg**

**Rate: R800 - R1 100 per hour**

**Responsibilities**:

- Implement and maintain comprehensive security controls to protect the company's IT infrastructure and data from cyber threats.
- Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, following established procedures.
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures.
- Stay up to date on the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Participate in security awareness training for employees.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure overall security posture.
- Manage and maintain security tools and technologies.
- Analyse security logs and data to identify potential threats.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in ICT/OT Security.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
- NQF Level 7 qualification in an IT-related field, such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles and best practices.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining security controls.
- Experience in conducting security assessments and investigations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R800,00 - R1 100,00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
