Vehicle Inspector

**VEHICLE INSPECTOR**

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Carry out inspections on various motor-vehicles and record any damage found prior to vehicles being purchased
- Responsible for the repair cost estimates in-line with rates, methods, and timings.
- Support the reduction of 'vehicle off road' time by challenging methods and processes to ensure customer inconvenience is minimised
- Checking, evaluating, grading and writing condition reports on vehicles
- Ensures vehicle information is correct i.e. mileage, colour, transmission, and specs, by running vehicle VIN through their respective agents. (BMW, Merc, Audi, Etc..)
- Commuting/Travelling to Wholesalers and suppliers daily for inspections and evaluations.

**Skills/Knowledge**
- Strong Admin Skills
- The role requires in-depth knowledge and experience of previous accident damage repair practices.
- Experience of discussing repair methods and times with supply chain partners and have market credibility.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and wholesalers.
- Mechanical Knowledge about vehicles would be an asset
- Excellent reading skills and legible writing skills.
- The ability to make sound decisions and exercise common sense
- Must have a valid driving license with ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles.
- Experience or knowledge of automotive inspection
- Must be able to endure long periods outdoors
