**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES.**

**KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS**: but not limited to

**Daily Cleaning and Maintenance**:

- Execute daily cleaning schedules to ensure all designated areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and methods to maintain hygiene standards.
- Implement procedures to prevent the spread of contaminants.

**Waste Management**:

- Proper disposal of waste and recycling materials in accordance with environmental guidelines.
- Monitor and empty trash receptacles throughout the facility.
- Coordinate with waste management services to ensure timely and efficient disposal.

**Health and Safety Compliance**:

- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential safety hazards.
- Address and rectify safety concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

**Emergency Response**:

- Participate in emergency response drills and training.
- Be familiar with emergency evacuation procedures and first aid protocols.

**Inventory Management**:

- Maintain and monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Submit requisitions for replenishment of cleaning supplies as necessary.

**Equipment Maintenance**:

- Perform routine maintenance on cleaning equipment to ensure functionality.
- Report any malfunctioning equipment to the Facilities Manager for repairs.

**Communication and Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to housekeeping.
- Communicate effectively with plant personnel to address specific cleaning needs and safety requirements.

**Adherence to Regulations**:

- Stay informed about and adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Implement and enforce housekeeping policies and procedures with a focus on safety.

**QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE**

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Matric

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Proven experience in housekeeping or a related field.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and work in compliance with established policies.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Stand, bend and kneel for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals.

**REMUNERATION / BENEFITS**

**SALARY**:R 10 000 - R 15 000 per month (Depending on Experience)
