**Hospitality and Outdoor - New Vacancy - Rooms Division Manager**

**Luxury Lodge - Kruger National Park**

Rooms Division Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of hospitality and service to all guests, ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the hotel, as per the standards, thereby achieving maximum guest satisfaction and profitability. In addition, he/she will be responsible for leading Security, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Front Office.

**Requirements**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification in either Management or Hospitality (Highly Beneficial)
- A minimum of 3 years Front of House/Rooms Management experience in a 4/5-star Hotel/Lodge and +10 years’ experience in hospitality. (Essential)
- Strong personality and highly motivated
- Excellent people skills, good at managing large teams.
- Good financial acumen.
- Must be able to work shifts / weekends / public holidays.
- Overseeing all stock sheets
- Must be available to start immediately.

**Description**:

- Daily spot checking of rooms to ensure that Group standards are met and
- maintained
- Routine property inspections, reporting on maintenance requirements, repairs or
- refurbishing, ensuring that these are actioned timeously and within budget
- Ensure correct staffing levels during peak and low occupancies
- Ensure that uniform and linen inventories are controlled and sufficient for hotel
- needs
- Ensure that staff and I H S trainees are trained to company specifications
- Hold and chair a weekly Rooms Division meeting
- Ensure that check-in and check-out procedures are strictly adhered to
- Be readily available at all times to deal with guest problems or complaints
- Hold bi-annual performance appraisals with all senior staff, identifying areas for development and training needs
- Ensure maximum security in all areas under your control
- Accurate and timeous submission of all reports and administrative work
- Monitor trends in the industry and make suggestions as to how these could be
- implemented to maximise revenue generation
- Monitor and control all Front Office operations, including billing, verifying rates and/or discounts, daily revenue and night audit reconciliation and sign-off, petty cash, room inventory controls and reservations
- Implement and evaluate policies and procedures for the operation of each department under your leadership
- Work closely and liaise with internal Sales Executives and the Revenue Manager to maximize room occupancy
- Formulate budgets and prepare monthly revenue and/or expense forecasts for each department for which you are responsible to provide effective leadership through professional management and encouragement of all subordinates.
