Forklift Driver

Job Summary / Purpose:
The Forklift Driver is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.

Primary Responsibilities
- Unload incoming trucks and check order against delivery docket.
- Load outgoing trucks with customer orders and check delivery dockets.
- Check quality of incoming and outgoing materials and report any non-compliance to supervisor.
- Transfer goods to designated storage area.
- Maintain storage areas in a safe and tidy manner.
- Perform other forklift operations as requested.
- Work in a manner that does not endanger yourself or others.
- Wear personal protective equipment supplied.
- Follow safe operating procedures at all times.
- Use equipment in a safe and proper manner.
- Report accidents / incidents to your supervisor.
- Report safety hazards to your supervisor.
- Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
- Conduct Fork lift inspection daily.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Ensuring mandatory documentation is maintained and gathered as needed, pursuant to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure Forklift and product security are maintained and controlled.
- Ensure Forklift are cleaned according to company procedure and cleanliness is maintained.
- Ensure records are effectively completed and provided to document controller as per arrangement.
- Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
- To maintain a high professional and ethical profile in accordance with industry and company standards.
- Ensuring Quality and food safety system and social accountability system requirements are adhered to.

Secondary Responsibilities
- Preparation of raw material.
- Labelling and preparing packaging material.
- General cleaning.
- General task as might be requested.

**Salary**: From R5,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Killarney Gardens, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- forklift: 2 years (required)

License/Certification:

- Forklift license (required)
- Driver license (required)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (required)
