THINK is seeking a suitably qualified IT Manager to oversee and support the IT Department with day to day operations as well as strategic planning and implementation organisation wide.

The IT Manager will be responsible for the successful implementation of IT related projects and tasks in order to support the organisation to function at optimal capacity pertaining to technology related requirements.

**Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Translate business strategy into tactical IT strategies to address key business requirements, drive capability and produce delivery road-maps & associated domain architecture.
- Contribute to the development of the IT strategy.
- Actively engage with internal stakeholders to interpret business IT requirements, consult and provide expertise & advice.
- Plan, implement & evaluate IT service delivery and project requirements in specific areas of the business to align with the standard service agreements set.
- Develop a departmental budget and monitor/control spend in order to deliver on set IT Strategy.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure financial feasibility where there are departmental/project overlaps.
- Keep abreast of legislative requirements and best practices (e.g., RICA, POPI, ECT act) to highlight risks to the business and ensure compliance at all times.
- Track, monitor and manage IT audits and risk management across the respective portfolios.
- Ensure that the workload within the team is distributed fairly and in line with the team's priorities and skills to deliver on departmental KPI's / targets.
- Keep abreast of talent pool internally and externally to contribute to the recruitment of top talent in the team.
- Drive succession, training and development within the team to ensure resource capability and business continuity.
- Manage related IT Service Providers and contractors, including activities such as selecting providers, negotiating contracts, controlling costs, reducing third party-related risks and ensuring service delivery maintained.
- Ensure that, at all times, the technology landscape within the realm of control is secure and, as far as possible, safe from any external hacking or phishing attacks that could cause reputational damage and or information leakage.
- Undertakes research, investigation and resolves issues identified through exception reports and payroll certification enquiries.
- Carries out testing for all system upgrades.
- Identifies through feedback, research and analysis, opportunities to improve and streamline processes to meet business requirements that require technical or system solutions.
- Analyses data to identify areas of risk and trends designed to improve the management of the Institutes data.
- Identify own training needs and informs HRM.
- Keeps abreast with all Human Resources policies and amendments.
- Keeps abreast with all relevant legislation.
- Constantly learn about the HR profession through research, subscribing to relevant publications and participating/attending relevant trainings.
- Relay all new information to HRM so that suitable strategies can be developed and implemented and advise HR team.
- Be passionate about making the difference and add value to THINK.
- Comply with all THINK rules and regulations and policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- An appropriate tertiary qualification such as a diploma or degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, Microsoft certification (MCSE, MCSA, MCP) and ITIL Foundations.
- At least 3 years of experience working in the capacity of a IT Manager or leading an IT Team.
- Postgraduate IT related degree or MBA would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a wide range of audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project staff, stakeholders, and partners.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Fluent in English, with proficiency in local language(s) preferred.
