**Job Advert Summary**:
**Purpose of the position**:
The linkage officer will be responsible for the successful navigation and linkage of people who use drugs to various services in the PWUD Programme.
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Grade 10 completed OR senior certificate
- HTS counselling certificate preferable
- Experience in linkage to care preferable
- Worked with / in primary health care facilities and/or hospital setting preferable
- Worked with people who use drugs in a community setting preferable
- Ability to travel as and when required
- Fluent in English, Afrikaans, or any South African languages
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Recruiting PWUD clients to the nurse or HTS counsellor for services.
- Develop strong relationships with health facilities in the district to enable successful linkage.
- Data collection on referrals and successful linkage to care.
- Completing all required reports for the programme on HTS and referrals.
- Navigate PWID into a health facility to ensure linkage to care.
- Record keeping into DoH HTS register.
