Restaurant Supervisor

A well-established wine farm / estate is currently looking for:
Must Reside in Paarl, Western Cape.

Grade 12 qualification.

Hospitality qualifications advantageous.

2+ years proven experience as Food and Beverage supervisor or similar role.

Excellent people skills with a customer service orientation.

Outstanding leadership abilities.

Ability to stay calm under pressure.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude.

Willingness to learn new concepts and ideas.

**Job purpose**:
To be responsible for the service of food and beverages at Laborie.

To be responsible for the presentation of the restaurants and staff.

To be responsible for cleanliness, presentation and maintenance of the food and beverage areas.

To supervise and manage the Restaurant team on a day-to-day basis.

To support colleagues in other areas of the estate and to assist as required.

**Main duties**:
1. Supervision, training and coordination of food and beverage employees.

2. Taking reservations, greeting, and seating guests.

3. Using the POS’ efficiently.

4. Maintain stock control.

5. Practicing proper workplace health and safety procedures.

6. Respond to customer requests in a professional and timely manner.

7. Make customers feel welcome.

8. Assist in maintaining customer service standards set by the employer.

9. Ensure the work area complies with the highest standards of cleanliness.

10. Ensure that customers are served in a professional and diligent manner.

11. Work closely with management and related staff

12. Communicate effectively with customers and fellow staff.

13. Obey directions from your employer.

14. Work cooperatively.

15. Show respect and understanding of others.

16. Continual awareness of the events diary daily.

17. Compile work schedules and manage hours.

18. Relevant training of staff.

19. Discipline staff in a professional and appropriate manner.

Pay: R10,000.00 - R13,000.00 per month

**Experience**:

- Restaurant management: 1 year (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Paarl, Western Cape (required)

Ability to Relocate:

- Paarl, Western Cape: Relocate before starting work (required)
