Forklift Driver- Despatch

CTP Printers, a dynamic leader in the printing sector is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Forklift Driver. The Forklift Driver will report to the Despatch Manager and will be based in Parow, Cape Town.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Adhere to health and safety procedures and policies at all times.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures and policies at all times.
- Loading of product within the required turnaround times.
- Ensuring that the correct product is loaded and that it conforms to the necessary quality standards.
- Correct quantity to be loaded as per the delivery note.
- Stacking raw materials and finished products as per the required floor plan.
- Perform all forklift/clamp and operating requirements of the Despatch department such as the movement of pallets and reels (not limited to these areas).
- Minor administrative tasks
- Provide support to the Hardcover/Softcover/ Warehouse team(s) as and when required.
- Conduct forklift/clamp checks and maintenance tasks daily (this is mandatory).
- Ad-hoc duties assigned by the Despatch Manager.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Valid forklift licence is required.
- Valid clamp licence is advantageous
- Minimum Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent thereof.
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience.
- Ability to work under pressure and a proven ability to set and meet deadlines.
- Sound knowledge of site environment and workflow requirement.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with suppliers and contractors.
- Team player but must be able to work independently as well.
- Must be able to follow procedures strictly.
- Proven history of reliability, timekeeping and attendance.
- Able to multi-task
- Attention to detail as well as accuracy
- Safety-conscious
- Must be physically able to operate a forklift and a clamp machine
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
- Attend all training programmes identified for the position and department is compulsory
- Willing to work overtime as and when required.
- Will to work shifts (both day, night and weekends)

**Type**

Permanent (with 6 months’ probation)

**Standard hours**

Will be required to work shifts (after hours work may be required occasionally)

**Wage**:
A market related wage is offered based on experience and skills set
