Bricklayer

**ONLY CVS WITH QUALIFICATIONS AND TRADETEST CERTIFICATES WILL BE CONSIDERED**

1. Bricklaying: Skilled in laying bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry units to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches, and other structures according to blueprints, specifications, and building codes.
2. Mortar Mixing: Prepare mortar by mixing specified proportions of cement, sand, and water to achieve the desired consistency for bricklaying.
3. Layout and Measurement: Interpret construction plans and drawings to determine the layout and dimensions of the structure. Use measuring tools to ensure accurate placement of bricks and maintain alignment.
4. Cutting and Shaping: Cut bricks to size using hand tools or power saws. Shape bricks to fit irregular spaces or create decorative patterns as required.
6. Repair and Restoration: Assess damaged or deteriorated masonry structures and perform necessary repairs or restoration work. Replace broken or cracked bricks and restore structural integrity.
7. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper procedures for handling tools, equipment, and materials.
8. Material Management: Estimate the quantity of bricks, mortar, and other materials required for each project. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and proper storage of materials on-site.
9. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure smooth project execution. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines.
10. Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control. Conduct inspections to ensure that completed brickwork meets specifications and complies with building codes.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a bricklayer or similar role.
- Proficient in bricklaying techniques, including mortar mixing, bonding, and jointing.
- Familiarity with construction plans, drawings, and blueprints.
- Ability to use and maintain various hand and power tools.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in brick placement.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

**Salary**: R12,000.00 - R35,000.00 per month
