**Job Overview**:
**Testing Analyst **_- FTC 24 months. _**

**Location: Gauteng, Pretoria / Hybrid.**

**Company Overview**:
A highly reputable organisation located in Pretoria East requires the expertise of a **_Testing Analyst for a 2-year fixed term contract period, _**_to form part of the project team in the Information and Communication Technology business unit. _

**Position Overview**:
The purpose of this role is to **execute and report on **_all quality assurance provided_** on information technology (IT) products and services** to be transitioned into the organisation’s production environment for business use.

**Key Performance Areas include**:

- Responsible for the **_creation and production of Test cases and Test scripts_** for various test cases.
- Assist end users with **_acceptance testing_** on system changes.
- **_Calculate test effort for given testing tasks_** i.e., planning, design, execution, and reporting using detailed work breakdown structures.
- Execute specific tests (system testing, regression testing) using structured techniques.
- **_Document and report testing_** progress on various projects.
- Undertake **_static testing_** based on rules and/or checklists.
- Record, track and manage **_software defects._**:

- **_Record and document testing_** results and compare them to expected results.
- Detect **_software failures_** so that defects may be discovered and corrected.
- **_Maintain accurate records of anomalies_** and issues regarding testing.
- **_Quality assurance reporting_**:Generate historical analysis of test results to track patterns that can be used to improve the system under test.

**Essential Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required**:
**Minimum Requirements**:

- **Minimum qualification of a National Diploma (NQF level 6) in IT **or a related field, with at least **one testing-related certification at the Foundation level.**:

- **3 Years’ experience as a Tester **within a professional environment providing** Quality Assurance in an IT environment.
