Dispatch Manager

Looking to recruit a Dispatch Manager. The dispatch Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the dispatch department, ensuring that all dispatch activities are carried out efficiently and effectively. The Dispatch Manager will also be responsible for managing a team of two pickers and ensuring that they are trained and motivated to meet performance targets and customer service goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the daily operations of the dispatch department, ensuring that all dispatch activities are carried out efficiently and effectively
- Manage and motivate a team of dispatchers to meet performance targets and customer service goals
- Develop and implement dispatch policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure that dispatch activities are consistent and of high quality
- Monitor dispatch performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to improve performance
- Work closely with other departments, including sales, customer service, and operations, to ensure that dispatch activities are aligned with company goals and objectives
- Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and other third-party logistics providers to ensure that the company has access to the best available transportation services at the best possible rates
