Building Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Building Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our shopping mall. As the Building Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all building systems, managing a team of maintenance staff, and ensuring that the property is safe, clean, and well-maintained at all times.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance staff, including cleaners, technicians, and contractors.
- Conduct regular inspections of the building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security, and ensure that any issues are promptly addressed.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal functioning of all equipment and systems.
- Respond to tenant requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner, and work to resolve any issues that arise.
- Oversee the cleaning and upkeep of the property, including common areas, restrooms, and exterior spaces.
- Manage inventory of supplies and equipment, and ensure that adequate stock is maintained at all times.
- Enforce safety and security protocols, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and codes.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities, budget expenditures, and building performance.
- Assist in the hiring, training, and supervision of maintenance staff, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure high standards of performance.
- Collaborate with property management team and external vendors to coordinate repairs, renovations, and other projects as needed.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in building maintenance or facility management, preferably in a retail or commercial setting.
- Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance techniques.
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with tenants, vendors, and management.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with relevant safety and building codes and regulations.

**Salary**: R20 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)

- Supervisor: 10 years (required)
