**Summary**
- Responsible for purchasing approved parts, components, assemblies, equipment, raw materials, electrical products etc. and services used in the conversion process of our builds.
- Understand the BOM’s and Purchase Requisitions to source quality items at competitive prices.
- Responsible for all purchasing activities for the branches
- Sourcing suppliers
- Purchase supplies from the BOM as well as purchase requisitions.
- Buying from the Approved Supplier List and maintenance of the list
- Liase with the Store man to see what is available in Stores and what needs to be purchased.
- Compare pricing to that of competitors.
- Ability to negotiate supplier contracts.
- Monitor supplier pricing and alert management on increases.
- Ensure timeous deliveries.
- Work with Projects to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned order.
- Ensure daily buying of consumables.
- Evaluate quality goods and prices.
- Update the BOM Spreadsheet and enter Supplier ETA’s
- Liase with the driver (s) to make sure supplier orders are ready for collection ad where possible ensure suppliers deliver timeously.
- Constant follow up with suppliers.
- Ensure that purchase documentation is accurate for payments.
- Assisting the HOD with any other suppliers and duties related to procurement.
- Ensure that all materials are available and issued to the right branch.
- Assist with exchanges/ returns/ credit notes.
- Handling supplier complaints
- Solve supply chain problems.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- 2-4 years’ experience as a buyer
- A Supply Chain qualification
