**Job Advert Summary**:
**PURPOSE**:

- Provides analytical support for the design and implementation of Exxaro-wide total reward initiatives. Supports the Reward team in their partnerships with HR colleagues in the respective businesses and business units to render reward specialist services that align to the HR and business strategy, and contribute to Exxaro attracting, engaging and retaining high performing employees.

**Minimum Requirements**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- PG Diploma in Human Resource Management (Essential/Minimum or)
- Programme in Human Resources Management (Essential/Minimum)
- B Degree (Relevant) (Recommended/Desirable)
- Certificate Basic Management (Recommended/Desirable)

**EXPERIENCE**:
1 to 3 years’ experience in a similar environment Knowledge and experience in reward practices (2 years minimum) Broad knowledge of general HR policies, practices and the labour law framework Strong analytical skills. Proven skills of working with large datasets and analysing data in order to generate insights. Good research and writing skills, and ability to compile various materials, training courses, presentations, papers and proposals. Demonstrated ability to partner with key stakeholders appropriate to the functional area Proficiency with Microsoft Office 3 years Essential/Minimum Operational

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Reward Analyst (Essential/Minimum)
- Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
- South African Reward Association (SARA) (Essential/Minimum)
- Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Reward consulting and awareness**
- Provide customised, business and business unit specific reward analysis to support reward consulting as requested by the business or identified by the Reward team

**Reward governance, risk and compliance**
- Continuously support the reward governance process as required by the business or identified by the Reward team

Reward process management and optimisation - Under guidance, answer all remuneration policy and process related queries from the business
- Assist in the compilation of Reward mandates, Union negotiations and participate in the rollout of the increase process to the business
- Compile and complete survey source data without assistance from relevant parties in the business; undertake comparative analyses and communicate and present findings to management committees
- Gather and collate initial information for RemCo packs
- Proactive and ongoing benchmarking and analysis of reward processes to identify and implement any project or initiative that will contribute to the optimisation of and the reward ROI, increase in employee engagement, increase performance management and reward perceptions, strengthen EVP and improve internal processes. Examples are benchmarking market competitiveness, development of calibration standards etc.

- Maintain and ensure a healthy environment, safe operations practices. Ensure compliance with all applicable Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) policies/procedures in line with set standards
- Encourage a culture that focuses on safety in all operations

**Subject matter expertise**
- On a continuous basis, research, benchmark and proactively identify and analyse the needs of the business by conducting research into remuneration trends and best practices in employee benefits
- Maintain proficient knowledge of labour legislative and regulatory requirements, King IV, and relevant governance codes that influence sphere of job
- Provide proactive advice and solutions to relevant business stakeholders and partners

- Ensure integrative work with key stakeholders internally, driving cross functional working relationships and efforts across all levels in the organisation and supporting the generation of new ideas and opportunities
