**Job Description**:
Job Requirements.
Source, secure and maintain Commercial and Residential opportunities in the Property Finance
environment/ market and respond by making presentations and pitching products and ideas to both
within ABSA group and external potential clients.
- Develop and implement actions to achieve the profit objectives in terms of growth and returns, to
meet and exceed sales and or customer targets.
- Facilitate and identify best practice trends in the CPF market regarding sales and market penetration according to global industry trends.
- Develop, retain and manage a portfolio of customers and continue to build strong, long term
relationships.
- Understand customer’s needs and service those needs by resolving sales related customer queries and issues, ensuring that issues that can't be resolved are escalated to Management.

- Develop a greater awareness of cross selling opportunities to client base to introduce other specialists within Business Banking or Wealth to CPF clients to optimise greater share of wallet.
- Focus on book retention and portfolio management, acquiring new business through external and
internal networks.
- Research, create and follow up a target list for potential new business.
- Keep up to date on Commercial Property Finance Products, market trends and customer needs by
regularly engaging with customers in order to obtain a more tailor made customer solution.
- Establish and maintain good professional relationships with clients so as to remain abreast of their
needs and issues.
- Establish and maintain good professional relationships with all key Absa staff and management.
- Demonstrate decision making capabilities and the willingness to show initiative.
Accountability: Deal Structuring
- Devise new loan structures that meet the client's needs taking into consideration sound financial
feasibility and risk principles.
- Negotiate acceptance of new property finance opportunities
Accountability: Team Work
- Develop and maintain healthy working relationships with all Commercial Property Finance internal
support areas.
- Provide feedback into the performance review of other members of the team.
- Participate in industry dialogue and share learning’s with team members.
Accountability: Deal execution
- The responsibility for ultimate disbursement of the loan remains with the Consultant from initial
client engagement until final disbursement, through the continuous engagement with the various
support areas including but not limited to Building Project Management, Legal, Valuations, Docman
and Middle Office.
Accountability: Risk management
- Manage high risk customer accounts together with the Credit, CPF Monitoring and Control teams
according to standard operating procedures to minimise impairments.
- Ensure that all legal, regulatory and Business Banking policy processes and procedures are adhered to
in all transactions facilitated.
- Ensure that transactions comply in all respects with Absa's risk and compliance policies and
procedures as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
Education
Bachelors Degree and Professional Qualifications: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required)
