Senior Marketing Consultant - Discovery Insure

- **Key Purpose**
- The Senior Marketing Consultant supports business and the Marketing Manager to execute the marketing, brand and social media strategies with the objective to elevate Discovery Insure’s likeability as a brand, to build cadence and to ultimately generate leads for the business.
- **Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to**

**Strategy and planning**
- Ideate, write and implement the organic and paid social media content strategy in line with the Marketing and brand strategy and, while incorporating the overall Marketing group theme.

**Content**
- Consistently produce and deliver compelling, visually appealing, and engaging content for multiple channels, that resonates with the desired audience and that captures their attention.
- Craft weekly sales mailers and liaise with business on learning to optimise for improved results.
- Collaborate with stakeholders within the business to find additional content opportunities relevant to the brand (Claims, product launches, PR, CSI initiatives - Pothole Patrol, FireForce and Wheelwell), staff activations etc.)

**Reporting**
- Monitor, analyse and report on social media post and campaign metrics (organic and paid) weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually and, and propose or adapt content and campaigns to optimise campaigns for success and to drive positive brand sentiment
- Monitor and report on local and global competitor social media activity and make recommendations to elevate the brand, based on learnings.
- Monitor, analyse and report on brand sentiment and make recommendations on improvements that will influence positive conversation and reputational sentiment.

**Research and development**
- Research and analyse external trends and topical conversations to act and develop creatives in time, for opportunities relevant to the brand.
- Feedback weekly on local and global social media trends and make recommendations for alternative platforms and ad formats that could elevate brand visibility and keep the brand competitive and at the forefront of social trends.

**Other**
- Proactively engage with relevant stakeholders across the business to understand their Marketing support needs, to get their approval on projects and to manage their expectations on delivery times and on our commitment to deliver timeously.
- Assist the team with ad hoc marketing activities as and when needed.
- Gain an understanding of the Marketing and Social Media budget and responsibly manage spend accordingly.

**Education and Experience**

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3-year undergraduate degree or diploma.
- Preferable: Communication or Marketing focused.
- Minimum of 3 years-experience in Marketing or Communication, ideally specialising in Social Media and Digital platforms.
- Prior marketing experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
