**SUBASSEMBLY CONTROLLER, C3**:SERITI POWER, MIDDELBURG MINE SERVICES, MPUMALANGA**

**The role**:
The role is responsible ensure that the Seriti end-to-end subassembly process is effectively managed in SAP for the operation including developing and issuing ongoing reporting to enable decision making and improvement. The role is also responsible for subassembly warehouse activities including receiving, issuing, tagging, maintenance and document management.

**The duties will include but are not limited to**:

- Maintain the SAP Equipment and subassembly movements to vendor / Functional Locations / Sub Assembly Warehouse and ensure data integrity.
- Raise notifications / breakdown work orders / Purchase Requisitions / C1 documents to facilitate the subassembly management process.
- Review movements of sub-assemblies daily for turnaround processes. Ensure ongoing reporting of status of components not returned by end users, components in the warehouse (defective and repaired) and components at vendors.
- Maintain monthly subassembly performance reporting.
- Ensure that subassembly equipment profiles are correct and kept updated.
- Perform periodic audits on Master Data to identify and correct variances.
- Ensure Stock Inventory management processes are in place and align with SAP.
- Maintain component tagging & identification processes.
- Ensure that warehouse layout and component storage practices are in line with Seriti standards and best practice.
- Ensure that components are stored and maintained in such a way as to preserve their intended function and reliability.
- Conduct physical inspections of walkways, guarding, lifting equipment and tackle, storage facilities, warehouse hygiene and HSEC compliance.
- High risk activity - conduct operational lifting and rigging tasks.
- Maintain a safe and healthy dispatch/receiving bay to ensure prompt turnaround times.
- Plan and arrange for the safe dispatching and receiving of componentry with suppliers and OEM’s including access management and escorting.
- Review and assess component failure reports, warranty claims, and C1 documents.
- Engage with end users on expediting priorities and concerns.
- Conduct and attend safety meetings and briefings. Discuss and rectify concerns raised/identified.
- Prioritize, schedule, and assign work to the Subassembly Storeman in conjunction with the Technical Expeditor.
- Establish work standards, provide feedback and coaching where necessary.
- Effectively deal with employee grievances and disciplinary matters and raise them with the relevant superior and the HR Department.
- Monitor compliance with HR policies and procedures to promote best people practices and ensure legal compliance.
- Support the yearly budget process by providing the required equipment and subassembly failure norms and costing to the end users and Planners.
- Document control of failure reports, purchasing documents, C1 documents, component Quality Control packs, flameproof and other compliance certificates.
- Office housekeeping.

**You will need**:

- Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science **or** Technical N3
- Recognised Trade Test Certificate
- 5 years relevant experience
- Coal mining, industrial or construction industry experience
- Condition Monitoring (General) experience and knowledge
- Reliability Centered Maintenance
- SAP Plant Maintenance (PM)
- Failure Analysis
- Work Management Courses
- Knowledge of Seriti Operational and Engineering Codes of Practices, policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures
- Knowledge of the equipment types and the duty they must perform
- Communications skills, fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Very good knowledge of the maintenance modules in SAP
- Very good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
- Valid driver’s license
- In possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness
