An established group of companies has a vacancy for an experienced IT/Desktop Support Technician to join their Strand branch and provide technical support to employees, troubleshooting and maintaining computer systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems across the Group.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Providing first line IT support to employees, including assistance with hardware and software issues
- Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices
- Monitor and upgrade computer hardware to ensure full and proper functionality
- Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications and give guidance on how to operate software and computer equipment
- Daily operation of all IT Equipment in the workplace
- Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance
- Manage telephonic users, groups, extensions
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
- Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance of software and hardware without deterring others from performing their work
- Maintain a service desk ticketing system for documentation, logging, monitoring and reporting all incidents
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
- Identify computer or network equipment shortages and, source best quotations and place orders
- Manage and troubleshoot Biometric Access Panels and software
- Setup and management of CCTV Surveillance equipment via management software of both DVR and NVR
- Comply with all data policies, standards, and processes
- Maintain the cloud based system for the group of developers, report issues to developers and testing of fixes, and communication between users and developers
- Providing on-site support to other Group sites as required

**Requirements**:

- IT Diploma OR MCSE/A+/N+ Certifications
- At least 3 years in Technical Support Environment
- Good Troubleshooting and Problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
- Self-motivated and takes the initiative
- Capable of working well under pressure
- Developed interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and self-disciplined
- Positive attitude and desire to assist
- Must be able to work after hours on request
