**Job Purpose**
- This is specialist position and hence requires deep business and technical understanding of all Event Management and/ or Monitoring technologies in the organisation, specifically ServiceNow and/or Dynatrace.
- This includes consulting to the Enterprise Systems Management (ESM) team, business and technology customers to identify ESM solutions that will achieve efficiencies, optimal results and superior service delivery.**Key Responsibilities**
- In consultation with the ESM team and Technology Architecture, set standards for ESM and design ESM solutions that consider integration across technologies.
- Ensure the operational team are equipped through providing effective procedures and plans.
- Act on feedback from the operational team regarding gaps in operational procedure.
- Develop complex ESM solutions that impact across technologies and that meet the requirements provided (Including system access).
- Identify value add ESM functionality for the bank.
- Agree policies for future system development across ESM technologies.
- Collate designs consider scalability, availability and recovery.
- Suggest and implement enhancements to ESM solutions.
- Suggest and implement improvements to ESM policies, processes and procedures to achieve efficiencies.
- Provide or assist on original design, operational and implementation documentation for all ESM technologies based on testing, analysis and evaluation of new technologies.
- Continually stay abreast of new technologies and best practice.
- Actively participates in industry forums related to ESM (User Groups).
- Review product release notes and applicability.
- Perform needs analysis and interpret the solution based on this. Consider all feasible options and identify the most suitable solution.
- Identify product impact integration requirements and new functionality.
- Assist users in defining their needs and assessing the technology impact.
- Consult to customers and ESM team on a regular basis and act as SME across ALL ESM technologies.
- Act as ESM consultant to enterprise wide projects.
- Provide advanced trouble shooting.
- Facilitate vendor engagement during design phase.
- Provide suggestions against outcomes of severity to improve ESM. 7. Provide on the job coaching or mentoring to Systems administrators, learners and management.
- Arrange and facilitate product knowledge sharing and design reviews.
- Essential Qualifications - NQF Level- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Essential Certifications- Accredited where formal expert certification on technology is available FPL or equivalent
- Minimum Experience Level- Event Management
- Application Performance Monitoring
- An understanding of Networks and Protocols
- Programming logic and techniques
- Thorough understanding of scripting and scripting language/s.
- 3 - 10 years IT experience
- IT Diploma/ Degree or equivalent experience
