_**Department**:_**Drive Thru Yard**
- **Reporting to**_**: Department Manager**
- **Purpose**:_ **The purpose of this job is to deliver exceptional customer service in such a manner that deliveries must go out punctually, accurately and well organised. This includes making sure delivery schedules are correct, the availability of drivers is adequate and checking invoices, this can be achieved through effective communication in order to keep customers happy ensuring customer satisfaction and sustainable growth resulting in continuous business and customers returning to store.**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Plan and control daily deliveries
- Schedule of deliveries for various areas
- Ensure that drivers meet expected requirements for doing deliveries
- Transfer stock by means of pick ups
- Check weight of trucks to accommodate the weight of material for deliveries
- Understand the customers stock requirements and ensure stock availability
- Resolve various customer related queries and complaints
- Process invoices for deliveries
- Update delivery reports and submit to Supervisor
- Report all discrepancies and daily planner to immediate superior (Supervisor)
- Assist with telesales and with counter sales at the building counter when required
- Solve inter-branch & department queries
- Attend to relevant administration tasks
- Participate in perpetual stock task
- Ensure housekeeping of work area
- Perform any work related tasks as delegated by superior

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Matric or Equivalent
- 2 Years minimum experience in a similar role
- 2 Years’ experience in hardware/retail environment
- Internal stock system knowledge
- Ability to handle pressure
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written) at all levels
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills
- Decision making skills
- Willing to take on responsibility
- Time management skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Numerically skilled
