Tipper and Tanker Fleet Controllers

**Responsibilities but not limited to**:
**Driver Management**:

- Ensure that you timeously plan and execute the loads as received from the Sales team
- Ensure that your Drivers conduct vehicle inspections prior to each trip
- Manage and be aware of Driver location at all times
- Communicate driver schedule and requirements with Drivers to ensure they arrive before or on the pre-determined date and time.
- Ensure that a night plan is communicated to all your Drivers in terms of sleep orders and location, diesel orders, required time of loading / off-loading at specified locations.
- Ensure that Driver hours are tracked and managed according to the stipulations of the NBCRFLI Main Agreement.

**Management/ OPS**:

- Ensure that you act pro-actively in order to identify potential problems and risks in your fleet.
- Report any and all 30min and longer period standing time on group for any reason throughout day
- Participate and contribute towards incident discussions (All breakdowns and any other incidents or customer communication).
- Attend and contribute to OPS Meeting daily (Discuss planning and make notes of instructions)

**Customer communication and marketing**:

- Ensure that all customers receive their required updates regarding their loads, as applicable
- Ensure that you create and act on sales leads
- Ensure that you do solid business development
- Find new clients and manage existing customers

**Minimum Requirements and Attributes**:

- Computer literate and MS Office proficiency
- Strong administrative skills
- Min 3 years working experience in a Tanker and/or Tipper Fleet Controller position.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage oneself.
- Must be well presented and professional.
- Excellent customer service.
- Ability to efficiently address and resolve challenges.
- Flexibility.
- Must be reliable, dependable and assertive.
- Must be pro-active.
- Willingness to work Transport hours as per operational requirements.
- Valid drivers’ license.
- Own reliable transport.
