**Job Description**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting department with various financial tasks and ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations.This is a centralized position located at the Cape Quarter in a central office supporting six Boutique Hotels in Cape Town and the surrounding areas.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing, and data entry
- Prepare and reconcile financial statements, reports, and records
- Conduct routine bookkeeping activities and maintain accurate financial records
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of financial tasks
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and support tax-related activities
- Perform general administrative duties as needed

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in an accounting or finance role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAGE)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with financial analysis and reporting
- Familiarity with hospitality industry-specific accounting regulations (if applicable)
