One of our clients is looking to hire a professional, trustworthy and diligent aircon installer.
Duties & Responsibilities

The Aircon installer is primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of HVAC and refrigerant units. The Aircon Technician is additionally responsible for preventative maintenance, plant operations, repairs and minor modifications for the Air handling units and fixed fans.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Performs all duties of an HVAC Mechanic
- Performs repairs for the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems
- Respond and attend to repair requests
- Communicate with staff to resolve any HVAC maintenance issues
- Make periodic rounds to all areas to support equipment and maintain operating log of conditions observed
- Responsible for maintaining records of work done, time records and preventative maintenance through the computerized maintenance management system
- Read blue prints, work from manufacturer’s operating manuals or applies knowledge of equipment to devise appropriate repairs
- Visually inspect tools, equipment and/or machines
- Knowledgeable in methods to do advance troubleshooting of refrigerant system, control system and skilled in reclaiming refrigerant, insuring proper regulatory paperwork on same
- Knowledgeable in sheet metal, AC duct fabrication and assembly
- Working knowledge of various Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Coordinate with service representatives and others as necessary to accomplish installations or repairs
- Identify, locate and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings
- Instruct personnel in proper use and operation of heating/air-conditioning equipment etc.
- Use the lockout/tag-out system before performing any maintenance work
- Inputting air handler schedules and make temperature changes
- Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment when required
- When required perform basic repairs and troubleshooting like plumbing, electrical components, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and bulbs and items
- Plan, recommend and carry out an approved program on scheduled maintenance
- Perform preventative maintenance for all HVAC units and refrigerators
- Responsible for the implementation of energy conservation techniques on HVAC systems
- Enter and locate work related information
- Perform any other reasonable request as required

Desired Experience & Qualification

Educational Requirements:

- Grade 12
- Woodwork & Technical Drawings - advantageous
- Trade Test - added advantageous

Experience and Skills Required:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a maintenance assistant
- Working knowledge of HVAC equipment
- Good communication skills
- Guest oriented
