Senior Oracle Audit Vault Specialist

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Oracle Audit Vault Management**:

- Design, implement, and maintain Oracle Vault solutions to secure sensitive data.
- Develop and enforce policies for database encryption, user access, and data masking within Oracle Vault.
- Monitor and audit Oracle Vault activities to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
- **Systems Engineering**:

- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-level IT infrastructure with a focus on high availability, scalability, and security.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for complex systems, ensuring mínimal downtime and swift resolution of issues.
- **Security & Compliance**:

- Work closely with the security team to develop and implement security strategies and frameworks within the Oracle environment.
- Ensure that Oracle Vault configurations comply with industry privacy regulations such as GDPR, POPIA, etc.
- Conduct regular security assessments and recommend improvements to enhance data protection.
- **Documentation & Skills Transfer**:

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all Oracle Vault configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide training and support to IT staff and other stakeholders on Oracle Vault usage and best practices.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and technologies in Oracle and systems security.
- Lead initiatives to improve the efficiency, reliability, and security of Oracle Vault and related systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of the IT team's overall skills and knowledge base.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferable).
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in systems engineering, database administration or a related role.
- Proven experience with Oracle Vault, including implementation, management, and troubleshooting.
- Strong background with different flavours of databases including Oracle, SQL, Postgres etc.
- Strong background in IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualisation.
- **Skills**:

- In-depth knowledge of Oracle Database security features, including encryption, access controls, and auditing.
- Familiarity with other Oracle security products, such as Oracle Database Firewall, Oracle Advanced Security, and Oracle Key Vault.
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and handle complex issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- **Certifications**:

- Relevant Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional - OCP) are highly desirable.
- Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are a plus.

**Other Requirements**:

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and handle emergency situations as needed.

Pay: From R43,98 per hour
