**The Role**

We are recruiting a dedicated Treasury Settlements Officer to become an integral part of our Group Treasury Team. This pivotal role ensures prompt cash settlement to our digital wallets, daily reconciliation, and the accuracy of our Internal AR/AP positions. Positioned as a vital link within our Treasury Team, this role will report directly to the Head of FX & Float Management, fostering strong collaboration with the Finance and Settlements departments.

The position’s location is one of our offices preferably Johannesburg, South Africa or Nairobi, Kenya. However, this may be negotiable within time zones.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure prompt settlement of cash to Onafriq's portfolio of wallets.
- Own the daily reconciliation of wallets.
- Work closely with the settlement team to chase account receivables.
- Cultivate and strengthen partnerships within our banking and financial network.
- Conduct thorough reviews of bank accounts to document incoming funds, adhering to SLA guidelines accurately.
- Generate and deliver tailored reports on demand.
- Maintain, develop, and enhance processes, procedures, and policies to ensure an effective treasury environment.
- Generally, uphold the values of the Company

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Payments / Settlements role.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in accounting or finance.
- Familiar with accounting techniques, particularly receivables and payables.
