**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 with math and science
- Dégrée/B-tech in Metallurgy
- Advanced Coal Prep
- Valid Driver’s license
- MS Office intermediate training certificate

Experience
- A minimum of 5 years management experience in plant processing (DMS) in a coal mining operation
- Practical experience in the following areas
- Budgeting and Financial Management
- Health / Safety /Environmental Management
- People Management and Team development
- Extensive understanding of applicable legislative requirements
- Experience in plant processing (DMS Coal and Air plant)
Responsibilities
- Allocating recourses to meet production demand.
- Monitoring and adjusting production process to meet product quality specifications.
- Ensuring quality feed is given to the plant.
- Ensuring accurate interpretation of product test sample results to ensure the required product quality.
- Ensuring cost saving initiatives
- Coordinating maintenance activities
- Eskom CQMP compliance
- Ensuring external and internal resources are correctly allocated in terms of time and skills needed.
- Managing departmental budget
- Ensuring safe work practice and compliance with company SHE requirements
- High level management reports
- Lab management
- Washability report analysis
- Plant related report database maintenance
