Tax Assistant Position:

- Individual tax submissions (ITR12):

- Requesting documents from individuals
- Understanding required documents and formats
- Preparing rental and business income schedules
- Basic understanding of capital gains tax calculations
- Differentiating exempt income from taxable income
- Preparing assets, liabilities schedules, and reconciliation
- ITR12 preparation
- Company tax submissions (ITR14):

- Understanding financial statements and tax computation
- ITR14 preparation
- Inspecting assessments and highlighting differences
- Basic knowledge of objection, appeal processes, and document preparation
- Requesting remission of penalties
- Following up on refunds with SARS
- Uploading supporting documents for verification/audit
- Updating efiling profiles, RAV01 forms, and facilitating SARS appointments

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years tax department experience
- Proficient in Greatsoft software
- Team player with knowledge of SARS policies and procedures
