Qc Inspector

A reputable Mining company is looking to employ a QC Inspector who will be monitoring all in-coming goods, machined and fabricated components as well as inspection of all completed products. Quality inspections, control and recording, as well as be able to maintain and set up of all machinery as per the required standards. Updating and monitoring quality records. Recording and following up on component failure and non-conformance reports.

Qualification and Competence Requirement:
Matric

N3 Mechanical Engineering

Internal Audit Certificate

Syspro

Minimum of 2 years experience in quality inspection gained in the manufacturing/ engineering related environment and in Quality Management Systems preferable ISO9001 Exposure in a technical environment and quality systems of the following: Stock Control

Quality management Systems Implementation

Calibration of instruments

Inspections

Milling and turning

Internal and external auditing

KPA

Conduct daily quality inspections on on machinery being fabricated and parts issued

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2008 requirements, control, maintain and evaluate the Quality Management System

Able to develop quality documents and procedures

Sample verification of incoming machined parts and signing off machines against prescribed checklists and test procedures to required standards

Ensure components comply with approved drawing specification

Liasing with suppliers by means of NCR reports to rectify or eliminate defects

Following up on their root causes to establish corrective action and set up preventative action

Knowledge of the use of measuring equipment ie: verniers, micrometers, ensuring tape etc.
