Key responsibilities:

- Assist in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the General Ledger.
- Process accounts receivable/payable in a timely manner.
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements up to trial balance.
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
- Comply with relevant legal requirements, including VAT, tax filings, and other statutory requirements.
- Support the Senior Bookkeeper and finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks.
- Utilize SAP software for various accounting and financial processes.

**Requirements**:

- Financial Tertiary education is preferable.
- Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience up to Trial Balance, ideally within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles gained in an importing / exporting environment.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organising abilities.
- Good with numbers and the processing of financial information.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with honesty and integrity.
- A team player with good communication skills.
