Marine Mechanic

Marine mechanic / outboard technician with experience in the installation, service and repair of outboard motors is required for a retail boat shop.

The successful applicant must be in possession of a valid driver's license with the ability to tow. Previous experience with marine electronics, inboard engines and a general passion for boating and the ocean will be beneficial.

Needs inboard and outboard motor experience.

They are a Suzuki dealer, so experience on Suzuki 4 stroke outboards would be beneficial.

Current person has been there a long time. He was a car mechanic from Pretoria who is exceptionally gifted in anything mechanical and he grew into a talented marine mechanic. He is technically exceptionally strong and learnt quickly. He has been poached and been made an offer he can’t refuse.

You cannot study Marine Mechanics anywhere in SA but there are lots of these people in SA as we have a huge boating industry. So, these people have either learnt on the job or trained overseas.

They are not against a good motor mechanic with a love of the sea & fishing - may be an option, but they have to be fabulous.

**Salary**: Up to R20,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Montague Gardens, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
