Chiller Technician

Are you a qualified Chiller Technician with a passion for continuous growth and offering excellent customer service, looking for a fresh start in a challenging new role? Our client specialises in the service, maintenance and installation of chilled water plant. You will be provided with being a member of a small but dynamic local team that is focused on growth. A constant focus on high standards of quality, delivery excellence whilst exceeding customer service expectations.

You will be responsible for but not limited to:
Performing diagnostics, preventative maintenance, corrective repairs and water-cooled chillers

Service of cooling towers as well as complex modifications of associated systems and components

Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical and electrical components of these systems

Primary responsibility will be chiller and cooling tower systems

The technician will receive and evaluate work orders and requests, investigate problems for solutions and complete all necessary repairs / maintenance on assigned cooling system equipment

You will be responsible for completing routine maintenance, attending service calls, diagnosing operational issues, and completing quoted repair works, across all types of chillers, and multiple different chiller manufacturers

Effectively collaborate with other team members to provide technical support, and/or guidance when it’s required

Receive and evaluate work orders and requests, investigate problems for solutions and complete all necessary repairs/maintenance on assigned cooling system equipment

**Education**:
Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Qualification

Red Seal Qualification will be adv.

Gas Handling Licence will be adv.

Minimum of 2 - 10 years’ experience

Experience/exposure to commercial HVAC Chillers

Have your own specialist tooling associated with this role

Proven experience as a Chiller Technician, with expertise in controls, maintaining and repairing various chiller systems

Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC/R systems

Valid Driver's License

Traveling between Western & Eastern Cape

Available for after-hours call-outs

Basic salary on offer + benefits depending on experience.

**Salary**: R30,000.00 - R55,000.00 per month
