**Salary**: Industry Related, depending on experience + 13th Cheque

**Working hours**: Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00 and Fridays: 07:00 - 15:00

Our client who operated within the communications industry has an opportunity for an experienced Surge and Lightning Protection Specialist to join their team in Olifantsfontein, JHB area.

**Job Overview**:
**Minimum requirements**:

- Matric certificate.
- (B.Eng) Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 2-3 years relevant experience
- Reliable transport
- Computer literate: Outlook, Excel, Word, Netsuite (will be advantageous).
- Industry and technical product knowledge.
- Knowledge of the market and product area.

**Duties will include but are not limited to**:

- Provide pre-sale technical assistance and solutions based on customer needs.
- Facilitate product and service training sessions to distributors, contractors, consultants, and end users, maximizing client potential.
- Attending trade shows to assess market trends.
- Conduct site visits and or audits.
- Compile technical reports detailing findings and faults.
- Gather/manage and prioritize market / customer requirements,
- Recommend or contribute information in setting product prices.
- Provide information by preparing sales forecasts and reports.
- Establish personal networks.
- Develop a business case for new products, improvements to existing products, and business opportunities.
- Assess market competition by comparing products.
- Work closely with other staff members / departments to ensure business and customer satisfaction goals are met.
- Evaluate the current product range by indicating PRO’s and CONs to present to management, advising if a product should be discontinued OR if a new product should be procured.
- Perform any other task, not specified herein, which may from time to time be requested by management
