Restaurant Storeman

La Parada Newmarket is looking for an experienced storeperson to control and distribute items from a restaurant store room. Reporting to the General Manager, the storeperson will be required to purchase and maintain inventory levels and dispersal of all food and beverage products.

**RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO**:

- Purchase and maintain inventory levels and dispersal of all food and beverage products.
- Establish and maintain the most effective purchasing and receiving procedures.
- Control inventory levels and record keeping of all transfers to ensure cost controls are in place. Ensure the most accurate accounting procedures for food and beverage costs per outlet on a monthly basis.
- Check daily variances.
- Be present with all stock takes and verify the counts with spot checks.

**QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED**
- Minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role.
- Basic knowledge of storage procedures.
- Experience in dealing with high volume, in a similar environment would be preferable.
- Strong communication skills.
- High attention to detail and process driven.
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task.
- Discretion and integrity.
- Stress tolerance.
- Decision-making.
- Professional and friendly. (Even in tough situations)
- Effective communication skills with guests and staff.
- Quick thinking and a team player.
