Purpose of the Job

**The Vehicle Tracking Supervisor is responsible for the tracking and monitoring of company vehicles through Netstar’s Proleet and VCAM systems. The role will also be responsible for managing the maintenance of the Netstar camera and tracking equipment and liaising with the Netstar account manager regarding contracts, accounts and billing. The position is based at the group head office in Ottery, Cape Town and falls under the security department.**

**The Vehicle Tracking Supervisor will work closely with the Vehicle Tracking Assistant, National Security Manager, Branch General Managers, Dispatch and Operations Managers and other security staff to ensure the safety and security of staff, vehicles and stock in transit. The position reports to the National Security Manager on all matters relating to vehicle tracking and camera monitoring and the group Netstar account.**

As this position falls within the security department there will be a requirement to undergo polygraph and voice stress analysis as required.

**Qualifications and Experience Required**:

- Grade 12 required
- PSIRA Grade A Registered desirable (PSIRA Grade B Registered at minimum required)
- 10 years using Netstar tracking and camera systems (VCAM and Profleet) experience required
- Experience dealing with law enforcement agencies and emergency services desirable
- Experience conducting investigations desirable

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Monitoring all group vehicle movements using Netstar Profleet and VCAM systems and giving early warnings of potential security risks
- Monitoring of driver behaviour and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary
- Identifying on-road exceptions to company policy and route deviations
- Co-ordinating and responding to emergency situations involving company vehicles
- Activate vehicle recovery in the event of hijackings and or vehicle being stollen
- Liaising with drivers, operations personnel and management daily and as required
- Develop and present reports relating to vehicles tracking as requested by management
- Check all Netstar units are updating and working correctly and take the appropriate actions to rectify
- Order new cameras and trackers as required, book repairs and arrange new fitments and deinstalls
- Manage an up-to-date log of vehicles in the fleet, their assigned drivers, the tracking and camera hardware onboard and the Netstar contract duration
- Check if routes taken corresponds with returned vehicle log sheets and report any deviations
- Request footage from Netstar as required
- Assist dispatch departments from various branches experiencing tracking related issues
- Compile vehicle accident reports for insurance claims
- Monitoring Netstar contracts, job cards and billing and complete contract addendums
- Manage the Netstar system, create new logins credentials and deactivate redundant credentials as required
- Any other admin related tasks required by the security management team

**Salary**: R15,000.00 - R17,000.00 per month
