**Job: Clubhouse Supervisor**

**Work location: Durbanville, Cape Town**

**Main purpose of the job**

Supervises Front of House staff to ensure the courteous and efficient welcoming and departure procedures for guests and residents in accordance with the minimum guest service standards. Maintains guest and resident assistance and service at the Reception area during shift times.

Schedules Front Office staff duty rosters and supervises the completion of daily Front Office administration in accordance with laid down procedures.

Oversees adherence to Front Office controls, procedures and reporting requirements as well as the maintenance of data and records on the Front Office system. Supervises staff with regard to overall work performance and on the job conduct as conducts training needs analysis and on-the-job training.

**Responsibilities & duties**
- Oversee the dining area, supervises food and beverage service staff in accordance with operating policies that he or she may help establish.
- Creates a positive team atmosphere among Team Members.
- Maintains records of staff periodic manner and operating costs.
- Provides feedback and coaching to the Team regularly.
- Understands building capability through Cross training
- Treats all Team Members fairly, with respect.
- Sets high standards for appropriate team behaviour on shift.
- Works with food and beverage staff to ensure proper food presentation and proper food-handling procedures.
- Handle guest complaints in restaurant
- Schedules periodic food and beverage service staff meetings to ensure correct interpretation of policies and obtain feedback from staff members.
- Maintain budget and employee records, prepare payroll, and pay bills, or monitor bookkeeping records.
- Meet with sales representatives to order supplies such as tableware, cooking utensils, and cleaning items.
- Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services.
- Total receipts and balance against sales, deposit receipts, and lock facility at end of day
- Ensures new products are executed properly following roll-out.
- Is capable of handling irate customers with a friendly/calm attitude.
- Ensures product quality and great service.
- Shows enthusiasm about guest within the restaurant
- Is flexible in dealing with changes/problems (e.g., being short staffed).
- Has effectively forecasted restaurant needs
- Shifts priorities and goals as work demands change.
- Prioritizes tasks effectively to ensure most important tasks are completed on time.
- Delegates and follows-up effectively.
- Taking Ownership of issues or tasks and also give detail update to the Clubhouse Manager.
- Seeks, listens and responds to Resident feedback.
- Coaches team on how to exceed Resident & Guest expectations.
- Does not blame others; takes accountability for problems.
- Effectively identifies restaurant problems through reports and can ideate & execute to resolve the same
- Proficiency in using computer software to monitor inventory, track staff schedules and pay, and perform other record keeping tasks.
- Proficiency in Point of sale (POS) software, inventory software, Restaurant guest satisfactory tracking software etc.
- Assist in planning regular and special event Menu.
- Ordering of stock, beverage, stationary etc.,
- Monthly stocktake
- Assisting with compiling monthly staff rosters
- Assisting with payroll
- Dealing & resolving guest complaints,
- Assisting with organising & running events for the residents, setting up areas for functions
- Checking daily cash-ups,
- Staff training & development
- Maintaining good working relationships with suppliers
- Identify ways to decrease the restaurant's operational costs
- Schedule and direct FOH staff in daily work assignments to maximize productivity.
- Ensure proper cleanliness maintained in all areas of the bar and front of the house.
- Meeting, greeting, and encouraging feedback from customers and used feedback to implement positive changes within the clubhouse
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Own transport is advantageous
- Able to work weekends and shifts

**Qualifications & Experience**

**- Management: managing priorities, the ability to listen, stress management, team motivation**

**- 2 years education in hotel/food and beverage studies**

**- Must have restaurant experience**

**- Sales ability**

**- Ability with figures and the ability to manage a profit centre**

**- Multi-skilled**

**- Sensitivity to customers**

**- Able to deliver training at all levels**

**- Have understanding of IT issues in relation with the post**

**- Thoroughness**

**- Dynamism/good relationship skills: maintaining the image of the restaurant**

**- Significant experience of restaurant management**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R12,000.00 per month
