**VACANCY**:

- QA/QC Inspector
- Permanent

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Inspections
- Raise non-conformances when processes are not adhered to, or products do not meet the required quality specifications
- Carry out part inspections and ensure data are recorded, filed, and included in the final databook including the completion of QCP inspection activities
- Assist with periodic audits scheduled by the Quality department
- Conduct in-house training in best practices relating to inspections and metrology
- Inspect VCE product-related products delivered by suppliers, to ensure conformance to PO specifications.

Quality Control Plans
- Ensure all inspections are executed and signed off by the responsible party as per the Quality Control Plan and manufacturing procedure
- Assist in the development and improvement of Quality Control Plans
- Verify all sub-contracted work comply with Quality Control Plan requirements

Non-Conformances
- Monitor manufacturing non-conformances and trend accordingly and report to responsible parties
- Develop and implement strategies to improve on quality outcomes
- Assist in the cost quantification of rejected and reworked parts and device strategies to improve on quality outcomes
- Ensure that all non-conforming components are marked and suitably isolated

Measuring and metrology equipment
- Ensure all relevant measuring and metrology equipment are calibrated or verified periodically
- Ensure all non-conforming measuring and metrology equipment are marked, isolated, and removed from service/operation

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- National Certificate N6 Mechanical Engineering or Fitter and Turner, or Tool and Die maker
- 2 years of experience in mechanical technician related industry
- Highly proficient in metrology and metrology equipment
- ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 17025:2017 quality standards knowledge
- Basic understanding of Mechanical Engineering Design and Manufacturing processes
- Basic knowledge of Steel specifications and standards
- Proficiency in Afrikaans will be advantageous
