**Duties & Responsibilities**

Effectively leads the department during a shift to ensure that excellent welding operations are consistently achieved.

Lead each shift by delegating duties, assigning specific tasks and ensuring team members are prepared for each day.

Ensure daily production has been completed in a timely manner; as per the set-out production schedule.

Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture of Afrit’s quality.

Work in accordance with quality standards to ensure correct welding of components.

Responsible for the training and development of team members.

Contributes to a team environment by recognizing and reinforcing individual and team accomplishments

Follow inventory control procedures and guidelines.

Follow Afrit’s operational policy and procedures, including those for safety/security, to ensure the safety of all teams’ members during each shift.

Must be proficient in each area of the welding department in order to help where ever needed.

Ensure that all robots and robot equipment is maintained in good order and documented.

Ensure that health, safety and housekeeping standards are met throughout robotics department and where work is carried out.

Follow safety procedures while using equipment

Provide support in the analysis and resolution of weld equipment failures.
Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pretoria North, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Shift Leader: 2 years (required)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (required)
- Night Shift (required)
- Overnight Shift (required)
