**PURPOSE**

Drive performance improvement in the company’s business units. The positions ensures that all business processes are mapped, measured, monitored and improvement initiatives are implemented to ensure business excellence. Improve business performance through process excellence.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & OUTPUTS**

**Process Management**
- Identify processes in each business unit and keep a database of all processes.
- Ensure that business processes are accurately mapped to the correct standard.
- Obtain process owner approval on all mapped processes.
- Maintain the company’s process repository to ensure compliance with internal standards.
- Identify of process risks and ensure implementation of control measures.

**Process Measurement**
- Ensure each process has performance measures in place.
- Assist business units to define process indicators and perform measurement system analysis.
- Facilitate design and creation of dashboards and reports that depict B_ business performance in all processes.
- Perform statistical data analysis on processes to provide deeper insight to process performance.

**Process Improvement**
- Prioritize and drive performance improvements that will have impact on the business results and on delivering operational excellence and value to customers.
- Re-design processes to support transformational programs or systems and other changes impacting business performance.
- Drive a mindset of continuous improvement to achieve performance excellence.
- Assist departments to identify process improvement opportunities, identify process inefficiencies across the business and streamline processes.
- Analyse system deficiencies and recommend changes to improve performance, increase automation, and reduce the potential for errors.

**Project Coordination**
- Assist in project execution phase of key projects in partnership with project leader / process owner and teams.
- Assist in the implementation of improvement projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
- Assist and report on improvement project performance.
- Monitor project improvements and controls after project is handed over to business unit.
- Ensure Lean Six Sigma projects are properly planned, executed, and sustained. ** Lean Six Sigma**
- Implement tools and methodologies to support existing and/or new processes.
- Help to build Operational Excellence capacity in the business by performing training in Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
- Research industry standards and best practices for various business processes.
- Provide consultative support to internal stakeholders regarding processes excellence initiatives.
- Maintaining Operational Excellence methodology and tools in the various processes of the business.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

**Reporting and Documentation**
- Develop SOPs and Work Instructions for the Operational Excellence business unit.
- Report on process management progress.

**We Tread Softy**
- Direct activities that ensure compliance with applicable safety, health and environment legislation and audit requirements.
- Ensure housekeeping is kept to 5S standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 / Matric with maths/literacy and English
- Bachelor’s Degree / National Diploma or equivalent in Industrial Engineering/ Operations/Supply Chain/ Management/IT or related field.
- Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt is advantageous.
- An understanding of Belgotex systems and processes would be an advantage.
- A systems thinking approach and ability to work across teams.
- Previous experience of implementation and maintaining Lean Six Sigma projects or improvement projects.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Proficiency within the Microsoft office suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Word, PowerBI, SPC - statiscal process control) is essential.
- PowerBI development experience is advantageous.
- Must have a thorough understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques.
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing industry.
- 2-3 experience working in a manufacturing industry using ERP systems (D365) in IT and/or working with systems for operations and/or project management.
