In this role you will be responsible for:

- Analysis of furnace metallurgy to provide reports on performance and recommendations for improvement
- Overseeing projects for metallurgical improvement and monitor and interpret results
- Management of Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Community related systems
- Developing operational guidelines and controls to ensure optimisation of furnace equipment
- Managing the plant maintenance to ensure equipment availability and efficiencies

About you:

- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
- National Diploma or Degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
- Good administration, communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate for the role including proficiency in MS Office. SAP will be advantageous
- At least 2 Years’ experience in a smelter industry conducting Metallurgical duties
- HSEC system knowledge
- Problem solving skills
- Good technical report writing and presentation skills
