**Overview**:
The Maintenance Supervisor ensures optimal delivery of repairs and maintenance to prevent any negative impacts on people and operations.

**Qualifications**:

**Experience**:
**General Experience**:

- Experience enables the job holder to deal with the majority of situations and to advise others. (Over 3 years to 6 years)

**Managerial Experience**:

- Experience of planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by more senior managers. (Over 3 years to 6 years)

**Duties**:

- **Site Maintenance**:Manage and deliver required site maintenance services under the leadership of more senior colleagues.
- **Operations Management**:Provide operational support services and sometimes act as first-line supervisor of a transactional operations area. Involves using existing systems and protocols.
- **Equipment Maintenance and Repair**:Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and systems for emergency repairs and carry out preventive maintenance inspections.
- **Leadership and Direction**:Explain the local action plan to support team members in their understanding of what needs to be done and how this relates to the broader business plan and the organization's strategy, mission and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals.
- **Health, Safety and Environment**: Follow the organization's HS&E policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions, to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of oneself and others in the workplace. Identify patterns of risky behavior within the team and take appropriate action to resolve these, escalating serious issues as appropriate.
- **Performance Management**:Prioritize own workflow and ensure work is completed to the required standards of productivity, quality, and timeliness; use performance management systems to improve personal performance.
- **Internal Communications**:Use the internal communications system to access specific information.
- **Operational Compliance**:Identify, within the team, instances of non-compliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these and escalating issues as appropriate.
- **Quality**:Conduct complex analyses, quality tests and inspections that require a high level of independent judgment.
- **Organizational Capability Building**:Provide instruction and informal advice to less experienced colleagues within the team to develop their skills.

**Prevent operation delays and risk by delivering quality, timeous and cost-effective repairs, and maintenance**:

- Manage all Maintenance activities schedules and budgets.
- Design maintenance programs.
- Record daily maintenance activity.
- Respond quickly to any emergencies.
- Run a preventive maintenance program that will minimize service repairs in the long run.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted, cost-effective production operations.
- Run an efficient repairs reporting system.
- Use specialist maintenance management software to track work.
- Safe delivery of product to customer sites.

**Enabled maintenance work and team**:

- Manage a team of multi-disciplined maintenance technicians.
- Plan, direct and control the efforts of the Maintenance Team.
- Delegate work responsibilities.
- Mentor inexperienced or new employees.
- Conduct employee performance reviews.
- Partake in the hiring of maintenance personnel.
- Build up maintenance teams.
- Setting goals and objectives for junior staff.

**Compliant maintenance**:

- Ensuring that all certificates of compliance are maintained and up to date in accordance with relevant legislation.
- Compliance to Legislation of equipment and installations on site.
- Implementation of and compliance to processes and systems and maintenance initiatives with focus on HSE and people.
- Compliance to company policies and guidelines.
