A well-established market and industry leader in the Industrial Engineering & Steelworks industry, urgently require the services of a competent and self-motivated individual to be appointed in the key position of Workshop Superintendent.

**Core Competencies**:

- Be responsible for the overall workshop planning after handover from the Drawing Office (Draughtsmen / Detailers);
- Ensure all programme dates are met;
- Ensure all pre-determined objectives are met;
- Manage and maintain continuous accuracy, quality and world class standards as per company process and procedure;
- Planning of resources, transport and craneage as per the contract's objectives;
- Manage the steel erection process and monitor the subcontractors' progress;
- Attend site meetings when necessary;
- Manage and maintain the utilisation of staff - both skilled and unskilled;
- Achieve a high level of productivity and efficiency;
- Manage and maintain all SHEQ matters (along with Safety Officer), ensuring the number of injuries and time lost is mínimal;
- Key role player in a multi-disciplinary team.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Senior Certificate non-negotiable
- Qualified Red Seal Boilermaker non-negotiable
- 5 - 10 years' experience in a Supervisory role non-negotiable
- Excellent understanding of the construction industry
- Self-motivated, meticulous, and deadline driven
- Must demonstrate the ability to handle large volumes of production, and still be able to deliver quality work on time (manage multiple projects simultaneously)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to display a sense of urgency at all times
- Computer Literate in all MS packages
- Code EB (08) driver’s license and own reliable vehicle non-negotiable.

Pay: R27 000,00 - R35 000,00 per month
