Assistant Cost Accountant

Durban, South Africa Pronel Personnel Full time

This role would entail providing the business unit with a comprehensive cost accounting service, designed to acquire new business and retain existing business on a profitable basis.

**Key Performance areas include**:

- Financial management - review accuracy of plant bills of materials and standard margins
- Bill of materials - oversee costing system, monthly comparison of standard cost changes, updating raw material cost and item master information on Syspro
- Stock in transit accounting
- Management reporting
- Reporting
- Sales and raw materials price control

**Minimum requirements**:

- Matric
- CIMA, B.Com or National Diploma (Cost and Management accounting) or equivalent
- 1 - 2 years relevant experience (manufacturing industry)
- Syspro proficiency advantageous
