Ingrain is looking for a SHER Manager at our Germiston Mill. The SHER manager is responsible for overseeing the adequacy and overall effectiveness of Safety, Health, Environmental and Risk, and its implementation, identification of strategy and operations; Implementing and monitoring the process of Safety, Health, Environment and Risk Management and integrating it, into the daily activities within the business units; Ensure the adherence to the Safety, Health, Environmental and Risk compliance process; Align Business Objectives to Corporate Strategy and Protect the Business units against uncertainties that could threaten the achievement of business objectives. Occupational Health & Environment Management Systems (TIQMS) to achieve defined objectives & targets across the Division.

- Maintain ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 certification, take part in FSSC 2000 audits (internal and external)
**Qualifications**
- Grade 12/National Senior Certificate
- BSc or other Degree in relevant Science, e.g., Chemical, Chemistry, Biotech, Food Science, Environmental Management, Safety Management and/or SAMTRAC WORK EXPERIENCE Essential
- SAMTRAC or Nebosh Qualification Advantageous
- HIRA Advantageous
- Incident investigation level 3 Advantageous
- Spillage response qualification Advantageous
- COIDA and legal liability qualification Advantageous
- SACPCMP Registered Advantageous
- ISO Internal Auditor Advantageous
**Experience**
- Minimum 5 -8 years experience in a SHER Manager role.
- Sound experience in risk management principles, SHER/Security policies, legislation, and procedures.
- Experience in ISO 9001, ISO 14000, 45000 and 22000 Advantageous
**Knowledge**
- Subject Matter Expert in this field. Sound knowledge of risk management principles and SHE/Security policies, Legislation and procedures
- Must have the ability to implement, manage, facilitate and maintain risk, safety, Health and environmental systems within the company
**Technical Competencies**
- Develop, in collaboration with the SHERQ Group Manager, the overall SHER strategy, processes and performance monitoring
- Develop a culture that promotes positive support for the implementation of SHER Policies and related procedures.
- Plan for the overall management of SHER, including the setting of realistic and achievable short and long-term goals, deciding priorities, and establishing of adequate systems and performance standards.
- Facilitate appropriate integration of SHER Management with organisational business systems.
- Provide regular reporting to the General Manager and Operations Team
- Co-ordinate monthly SHER committee meetings
- Compile SHER committee minutes and keep records thereof
- Maintain action tracker on a monthly basis of incidents (Near misses, Accidents, Management GEMBA walks, non-conformances)
- Cultivate/develop team-based organization and teamwork culture
**Core Competencies**
- Contribute to the development of company SHER standards and guidelines ensuring that these meet business and legal requirements.
- Manage a programme to implement the agreed SHER priorities within the Mill. In particular support the General Manager by providing expertise and specialised resources to deliver the SHER agenda.
- Ensuring compliance with OHS Act as well as ISO14001 and OSHAS 18001 (aligning to ISO 45001) and other Environmental Legislation
- Management of Health, Safety, Environmen
