**Job Advert Summary**:
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that bid adverts are timeously; correctly and accurately placed in the relevant media, Rand Water’s website and CIDB website (where applicable) in line with the Memo to advertise and Bid Specification Committee’s approval. Reporting on Work Awarded, Perform contract administration on an on-going basis.

**Minimum Requirements**:
Applicants must be in possession of a Grade 12 qualification;
National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Commercial or Accounting studies

3 - 5 + years’ experience Procurement or Supply Chain Management environment;
Working knowledge of the legal aspects of procurement and contract law.

Project management experience

**Primary Duties**:
Actively work with the Contracts Manager on ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of the contracting clauses of various contracts

Manage the contracts’ timelines on SAP to ensure that contracts are reviewed for extension timely where applicable and that a register of contracts (with various statuses) is maintain and actively updated

Play an active role with regard to preparing contracting strategy documentation for all the prospective bidding in line with the respective commodities;
Actively work with the Contracts Manager on ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of the contracting clauses of various contracts

Manage the contracts’ timelines on SAP to ensure that contracts are reviewed for extension timely where applicable and that a register of contracts (with various statuses) is maintain and actively updated

Maintain an up-to-date register of work awarded per quarter of successful bids using approved BAC resolutions.

Ensure that letters of award are timeously prepared; accurately captured and circulated for sign off in accordance with the DOA

Ensure that approved copies of LOAs by the CE are filed securely and maintained

Maintain stakeholder relationships with other co-contracting functions i.e. Group Legal Services and user departments spear heading the contracts and more importantly the IT’s SAP department

Conduct quarterly contracts financial and legal review and prepare action plans for all the stakeholders involved

Maintenance of Reports related to Contracts, Variations and Expansions, Contract Expiry

**Knowledge**:
Procurement Knowledge and understanding of national SCM regulations affecting the procurement process including PFMA, PPPFA, CIDB best practice etc. and understanding of the FIDIC (and NEC3) suit of contracts.

SAP Knowledge (Materials Management)

Computer literacy - e.g. MS Office Suite

Basic Project Management - demonstrate ability to plan and organise
