**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Address and assist walk-in members
- Investigates and resolves queries received. Calls members back where required
- Answering incoming calls and redirecting them internally to staff members
- Taking appropriate messages and accurate details when manager is not available
- Arranging, documenting and following up on deliveries and collections
- Arranging distribution of mail
- Assist Manager/Supervisor when necessary
- General office duties
- Claims received at reception - Pre asses claims and sent for processing
- Handles provider cheques
- Maintaining at all times a professional and friendly image to all customers

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Matric
- Post matric qualification in customer care, an advantage
- Advanced computer literacy
- Excellent telephone skills
- Accuracy
- Team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of all internal business policies, processes and products
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong client services skills - customer focus - ability to relate to and focus on the client’s needs
- Ability to multi-task
- Relevant system knowledge
- 3 years’ experience in the Health Care industry, an advantage
- Relevant experience in assessing, membership, credit control and client relations
- Lateral thinker and effective problem solver
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Self-disciplined
- Good judgment
- Highly professional with a high degree of integrity
