Visual Merchandiser

**Responsibilities**:

- Check product quality on the shelf, stock rotation and correct barcode / price tags
- Inspect damaged stock against claims and uplift returns
- Assemble / supervise assembly of product for instore displays
- Manage and coordinate contracted electricians for lighting displays
- Optimise areas in store for displays
- Ensure stock on shelf is substantial and report on low stock items that needs input
- Feedback on and managing of customer complaints, queries, requests, and orders per store
- Communicate and upkeep knowledge of product and promotions to department managers
- Effectively record merchandising activities
- Analyse and report on competitor products and pricing
- Manage rework of instore products (changing barcodes, etc.)
- Arrange and uplift store stock transfers
- Assist stores with aged stock queries and solutions
- Assist in coordinating samples needed for photoshoots and marketing
- Assess and communicate on any quality issues on store level
- Arrange, manage, and oversee store revamps and new store openings

Skills and Experience:

- Previous Retail / Merchandising experience is essential
- Natural sales and numeracy ability
- High level of attention to detail and urgency
- Assertive with strong administrative skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Problem solving, lateral thinker and team player
- Ability to build, maintain and enhance superior client relationships

Minimum Requirements
- University degree
- Minimum of 1 Year Experience in FMCG Merchandising Environment
- Fashion or homeware environment experience would be beneficial

**Salary**: R8,000.00 - R12,000.00 per month
