Leasing Director

Our client is seeking a **Leasing Director** to join their team, based in East London OR Johannesburg.

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior leasing role
- Strong understanding of lease contracts
- Familiarity with applicable laws and regulations
- Demonstrating strong leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

**Duties**:

- Conducting market research to understand demand, trends, and potential tenants
- Engaging in lease negotiations with prospective tenants
- Working with potential tenants to complete the leasing process
- Managing lease contracts, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws
- Overseeing improvements or modifications to leased spaces to meet tenant requirements
- Developing effective strategies and supervising the marketing and leasing of properties
- Maintaining relationships with current and potential tenants, built environment professionals, project managers, and the business community
- Monitoring tenant payments and following up any overdue payments
